Qurio Games (the "App") is an independently operated product based in Bengaluru, India ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Qurio Games, why we collect it, and how it's handled. We've tried to write this in plain language rather than dense legal text.
We collect the minimum information needed to run your account and the game features you use. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything beyond running and improving Qurio Games. We don't show ads. If this ever changes, we'll update this policy and let you know.
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and the username you choose. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google as part of that process.
Gameplay data. We store your activity within Qurio Games' features — for example, your Daily Quiz answers and scores, your Nine Lives puzzle results and guesses, reading activity on Learn cards, streaks, and similar in-app progress. This is what lets your stats, history, and streaks work correctly and persist between sessions.
Social features. If you use friend or group features, we store the connections you create (such as friend links and group memberships) so those features can function.
Communications you send us. If you report a bug or send feedback through the app, that message — along with your username, if included — is sent to our support email so we can read and respond to it.
Optional interest signals. If you express interest in a future paid feature (such as our Pro waitlist), we store your email and user ID so we can notify you if and when that feature becomes available.
Technical information. Like most apps, basic technical data (such as device type and app version) may be collected automatically to help us diagnose crashes and bugs. We do not use this to build advertising profiles.
If you use social features like friends, groups, or challenges, the only information visible to other users is your username, your activity within shared features (such as group leaderboards, streaks, or challenge results), and, if and when we introduce profile photos, the photo you choose to set. We do not share your email address or any other account details with other users — ever.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. We do not display third-party ads in Qurio Games. We do not use your gameplay data, quiz answers, or any other content for purposes beyond operating and improving the app you're using.
To create and maintain your account; to save your progress, scores, and streaks; to let social features (friends, groups, challenges) work; to respond to bug reports and feedback; to notify you about features you've expressed interest in (like Pro); and to maintain the basic security and reliability of the service.
Qurio Games' data is stored using Supabase, a third-party backend infrastructure provider. Supabase stores and secures the data on our behalf; we don't separately copy your data to other third parties.
You can request a copy of the data associated with your account, or request that we delete your account and associated data, by contacting us at quriogames@gmail.com. Deleting your account will remove your profile, stored gameplay history, and stored social connections. Some information may be retained briefly for legitimate backup or legal purposes before final deletion.
Qurio Games is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
If our practices change — for example, if we introduce a new feature that collects different information, or if our business model changes materially — we will update this policy and update the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to check back periodically.
