Welcome to Qurio Games. Qurio Games (the "App") is an independently operated product based in Bengaluru, India ("we," "us," "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Qurio Games. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Qurio Games is a quiz and word-puzzle app, including features such as a Daily Quiz, Nine Lives (a daily word puzzle), Learn cards, and related social features (friends, groups, and challenges). Qurio Games is currently free to use. We may introduce an optional paid subscription ("Qurio Pro") in the future offering additional features; if and when this launches, separate pricing and terms for that subscription will be presented to you before any payment is taken.
You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when creating your account (such as a working email address). You may not impersonate another person, use offensive or misleading usernames, or create multiple accounts to manipulate leaderboards, streaks, or social features.
When using Qurio Games, you agree not to: cheat, exploit bugs, or use automated tools (bots/scripts) to play on your behalf or manipulate scores, streaks, or rankings; harass, abuse, or impersonate other users through any social feature; attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization; or use the app for any unlawful purpose.
Usernames are publicly visible to other users, including within groups. You agree not to choose a username that is profane, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate. If you choose to set a profile photo (if and when this feature is available), the same standard applies — we reserve the right to remove or reset any username or profile photo that violates this, and to suspend accounts that repeatedly do so.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including those found to be cheating or abusing other users.
Qurio Games' products — including Daily Challenge, Nine Lives, and Learn — along with their gameplay mechanics, puzzle and question design, visual design, branding, the Qurio Games name and logo, and the Qurio cat character and related visuals, are the proprietary property of Qurio Games. This includes elements specific to how these games are designed and played — for example, Nine Lives' shared-lives mechanic and its letter-state system — not just the underlying code.
By using Qurio Games, you agree not to copy, mimic, replicate, or create derivative versions of these products, their gameplay mechanics, or their visual assets (including the Qurio Games logo and cat character) in any form, for any purpose, without our prior written permission. You're granted a personal, non-transferable license to use the app for your own enjoyment — not to copy, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or commercially exploit our content or designs.
If you submit feedback, bug reports, or suggestions to us, you agree we may use that input to improve Qurio Games without any obligation to compensate you.
Features like friends, groups, and challenges let you connect and interact with other Qurio Games users. The only information visible to other users through these features is your username, your activity within shared features (such as group leaderboards or challenge results), and, if and when we introduce profile photos, the photo you choose to set. We do not share your email address, real name (unless it happens to be your username), or any other account details with other users.
You're responsible for your own interactions with other users — including who you choose to connect with, what you share with them outside of the app's built-in features, and how you conduct yourself. Qurio Games is not liable for the conduct of other users, and we encourage you to use good judgment and protect your own privacy when interacting with people you meet through the app.
Qurio Games is distributed through third-party platforms such as the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Those platforms are not a party to these Terms and have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Qurio Games — any such support comes from us. Matters outside our control that are handled by these platforms (such as payment processing for any future paid subscription, app availability, or store-level policies) are governed by that platform's own terms, which you've separately agreed to by using their store.
Qurio Games is provided "as is." While we work to keep the app running smoothly, we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. Puzzle and quiz content is provided for entertainment and casual learning purposes and should not be relied upon as professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Qurio Games and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to Qurio Games is limited to the amount (if any) you've paid us in the past 12 months.
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of Qurio Games at any time. We may also update these Terms as the app evolves — for example, if we introduce new features or a material change to how Qurio Games operates. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes. Continuing to use Qurio Games after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
You may stop using Qurio Games and request account deletion at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Qurio Games will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
